This is what I don't understand with MWT. Why are victims of crime going through him to the police? Why would the double-barrelled name of a reporter spring more easily to mind than the word "police" and why would his contact details be easier to find than the police numbers, especially if someone is brave and can just contact them directly?

Interestingly, the first reply below that is someone blowing him a kiss from Melbourne.
