Cheers Zoo.
If you read my anonymous "pie scam" food post below, this is how I arrived at this conclusion in the end.
I got diverted to a pie manufacturer, nearly got my free pie samples, but have since been rumbled, as they neatly observed that I am not a professional caterer, so no pies for me!
The saveloy! It`s the new vision for rock n roll! |

Very nice it was too, we both agreed.
She's your mother so it doesn't count
Saveloy = pork. Frankfurter = beef (or beef and pork). |

Well I roasted a guinea fowl for my Mum and myself, with my special bread sauce (onions, cloves, butter, milk, bread, chicken stock cube, salt, pepper) and asparagus spears in butter. Very nice it was too, we both agreed. |

Unfortunately due to baby things, decoration things and other things we had no option but to get a ready made cooked chicken from the supermarket. Which was actually surprisingly good, particularly with the home made gravy and roast potatoes sprinkled liberally with olive oil before cooking |

..And it was a panic one this week, as Flinty the dog is convinced as I watch and listen to the cricket highlights, that every time the name "Flintoff" is mentioned, she is required. This has resulted in a muddy trail of paw prints in the dining room.
Anyway, chinese style pot roast pork, with asparagus rice, slow cooked parsnips in gravy and mint peas.
I visited the deli counter at the temple, sorry I meant Tesco, and bought saveloys at only 17p each, which I am nibbling.
The lady asked me at the counter what was in them, and was the difference between them and franfurters?
Ideas anyone? |
