Very good article ITK, I only just found the reply.
I am actually quite a fan of "sledging",people forget that cricket is an entertainment form some times.
Here` my fave ever sledge, between the great Viv Richards and an un-named fast bowler, after whizzing a 90 mph ball past his ear.
Bowler; "It`s red and you are supposed to hit it!"
Viv then smacked the next ball clean out of the ground and it landed in the river in Taunton.
Viv; "You know what colour it is, go and fetch it!". |

Next year, let Flintoff play football and Michael Owen play cricket?
It MIGHT work?

I didn`t even bother staying up to watch it last night, as it looked a dead cert boring draw. I came down for brekkie to see us bashed and losing. I get very supersticous about sport, if England are playing football there allways seems to be a goal against them if I go and put the kettle on, I think I cursed the cricketers as well, by daring to sleep! Then
I have probably done the same to a lot of music acts as well, which have a dead cert hit, until I buy it!Actually, there is a lot more logic in what I buy than that, I don`t purchase obvious hits as I know I will be sick of the thing in a month. There is a lot to be said in a very personal music collection though, I think thats why I enjoy new music so much.
Days like these, I wish I had not named the dog after the English cricket captain:( |
