Grandpa Harley There aren't many secular governments. But the ones backed by an overt theological bent seem to have a peculiar horror to them.
Anthony If only we could put it down just to theocracy. I'm not so sure. It seems to me that these decisions are not down to religion. Even in secular politics, it would appear life is chaep.

JK2006 Horrid Bush 3 has suspended executions in Florida (he'll never catch up with Texas now) because a man took 34 minutes to die and that is "cruel and unusual punishment".

Whereas killing someone quickly is not?

I despair about the morality of the human race.
