Martin Driving back from our favourite Lebanese restuarant, a fifty foot tree decided it`s life was over and crashed into the road onto a car driving adjacent to us.
Amazingly, the little lady was unhurt and just shaken, whilst we attempted to divert traffic whilst calling the police in vertical rain.
There was four of us,doing this, no Police yet and possibly 200 cars lined up in the end, by the time they arrived. The road was down to half a lane.
Nobody stopped to help apart from that, and I recieved verbal abuse from about eight drivers for guiding them around the tree, one even drove his mercedes into the branches once we had got the fiesta out, in frustration, and called me a "**** and how was he supposed to get home?"
Are we not a wonderful thoughful race?
That was a terryfying sight seeing that tree come down on that car in broad daylight at that distance.
That was close!
