Mart Ah Minis!!

I had a Mini Clubman Estate in the eighties, and we got the PA in it, the bass amp and the drum kit.
The final two toms from the kit sat on the drummers knees in the front seat.

That said I regularly broke the suspension trumpets in the rear, but the fuel economy was outrageously brilliant, as long as you could put up with the 48 miles an hour top speed with the full load in.

eeeee by ek! 2* petrol them were the days!
zooloo I remember our drummer who got his enormous kit into a mini - if it didn't go in just right it wouldn't fit.

It was quite bizarre watching it happen - you'd look at it and think "No way!".

Wonderful what needs must
Mart ...which I`m sure you`ve all seen by now, in which a guy from Brighton describes how whilst being on the road he needs the right car for the job, before the last frame of the advert shows him putting a single guitar on the back seat.

Hmmmm.

When I had mine, I used to get in 450 watts of bass equipment, 1000 watts of PA including the bass bins, 4 stands, two guitars, a lighting rig, a backdrop, a suitcase and a passenger.

It also amuses me, that he would appear to be putting the guitar into the boot, where it doesn`t fit, before electing for the backseat!
I think they should have photographed the sequence here..
