Spee Brennan, wasn't it - as Stumpy?

The Nelson/Martin duet was 'My riffle, my pony and me'.

Similar storyline to High Noon - and there was a lot of debate about that!

Though I'm not a particular fan of westerns either, one western that I do like, as much for the music as anything else, though the acting and non-traditional storyline are good too, is The Big Country.
andrew You missed out Brannigan ?
Spee Considered by many to be JW second/third best movie.

After Rio Bravo, also a western - made 10 years earlier.

With Walter Brennan, Ricky Nelson and Dean Martin.

The latter stole the show as the town drunk who become a hero, in the end.

JK2006 I'm not normally enamoured by cowboy films but I loved this with John Wayne at his best, Kim Darby and the mighty Glenc - Glen Campbell still around (just). Haven't seen it since 1969.
