robbiex I remember him in Catweazle as a child. A very odd show that they have never shown since (as far as I'm aware), but you will never forget.

He appeared in Casualty a couple of years ago and that was the first thing that I have seen him in since Catweazle. Very sad to hear that he has passed away. There are very few Tv stars of the 70s left.
pete I agree Paul. Glad that he lived to such a ripe old age but still sad that he's gone. And Catweazle was a real hoot, a part that he took on with delightfully eccentric verve. I also loved "To Sir With Love" and had actually forgotten that Geoffrey Bayldon was in it! A very versatile character actor.

I loved him as Catweazle, and he was in one of my favourite movies of all time 'Sir with Love'.

93 is a good age, and I'm sure he didn't waste any of it.
