for any KingOfHits viewers who read the posts for travel reasons. We know there are many reasons for reading these threads. Many Fleet Street hacks (a dear, much loved expression) read the threads for news gathering or feature article reasons - about music, entertainment, gossip. Police, judges, lawyers read to find, before other colleagues, the future of their industries. Foodies read for tips on great dishes. And travellers know there are indications they will find nowhere else about foreign destinations.
This post is for our travellers. For the two best views as you eat.
Number one (for me) in the world is La Pergola; the restaurant on top of the Waldorf Hilton in Rome. You can see the seven hills of Rome, the Vatican, the Vittorio Emmanuelle, the Borgese Gardens and Via Veneto.
And the second? On top of the Pearl Hotel in Marrakech; the best view in Africa of the Rose Red city; dine (delicious Asian cuisine) at Namezake and look as the sun sets at Marrakech and the Atlas mountains. Staggering. |
