Only the BBC would have an anchor standing in front of British Asian men holding up a sign about love or something. |

One of the things I worry about in our superficial society is this reliance on cliches; take this recent tragedy. All the shouts for "better security at venues" for example - did it not dawn on anybody that the serious danger point could be at the end of concerts, on exit? Very much not missed by those planning tragedies who should not be assumed to be morons. They may be loonies but they still have brains. We can all be certain they have already forgotten the "get them on exit" method, knowing stable doors will in future be bolted, and are coming up with the next weak link. We can only hope some of our friends and supporters are well ahead of them (they have brains too). But when politicians are SO stupid and speak SUCH rubbish it makes you wonder. One thing is certain; governments in the past have been dangerously stupid. When the coalition decided to kill innocent Libyans they put in motion Monday's Manchester tragedy. Every single death is directly due to them. And us; we elected them. (In my case, the Lib Dems got my vote because of their opposition to the Iraq war; then voted to kill Libyans). |
