I too just watched it again... flawless.
I know everyone's seen it a million times but watch it again.
Cheers Mart.

The classic short film known at the Jonny Cash video for Hurt is absolutely brilliant.
Everyone I know who's seen it is stunned in to a silent pause when it ends.
Top stuff from Johnny and Rubin - picked JC up after Capitol dropped him after 30 odd years if I remember correctly.
Very glad it happened.

"Hurt" did have me in tears actually.
I am still divided as to whether I wanted to see it or not, it moved me that much.
I covered and recorded "The Beast In Me", which Nick Lowe wrote for him, but he`s one of those artists you can`t cover, but for him to have covered yourself would indeed have been an honour.
If anyone wants a copy of our version , get in touch as we deliberately withdrew it.

Mart,
If you haven't yet then check out the last 5 CD recordings he did...the "American Recordings" series with producer Rick Rubin. They are all great but the best one imho is the 4th, "The Man Comes Around". The title track which is the first cut is fantastic and his cover of Nine Inch Nails, "Hurt" will have you in tears. And watch the video for "Hurt" too..maybe the best music video ever made....just before his death.
Cheers,
Nigel
