In The Know Been on before, JK (several times).

Paul McCartney bought the entire Holly catalogue way back in the 60s
Spee Will watch!

Is it true The Beatles were big fans of BH and The Crickets?

So much so - they decided to call themselves The Beetles.

And Beatle was a misspelling, by one of them?

JK2006 Brilliant documentary on BBC4 about the short life and career of Buddy Holly. If asked for the single most influential musician in my life I'd name Buddy. A mere 18 months but some truly incredible tracks. Elvis was far prettier and sexier. Roy Orbison was the greatest singer. But Buddy was the game changer. Just ask Beatles, Stones, any Brit superstars. Buddy was not as big in the States as he was here but for us teenagers he was the sound of music and when his plane went down it was the day the music died. Do watch the show and if you've never heard the music, it will change your life too when you do.
