In The Know The one from a couple of years ago with Frank Gardner - who is descended from William the Conqueror - was repeated a couple of nights ago on Yesterday.

Frank and I share a mutual line - the Stanhope line - Frank is descended from Sir Michael Stanhope (who got his head chopped off) and I am descended from his brother.
JK2006 The series remains fascinating; despite having gone on forever and often including people of no interest whatsoever until you watch! That one with the EastEnders actor who turned out to be related to the Royal Family was stunning.
md I enjoyed her commentary at 'Trooping the Colour' - she knew so well the names and backgrounds of the participating horses.
In The Know Yes, was an interesting programme - and shows how family history can "disappear" within a couple of generations.

Although we have been researching our family history for many years we still find out new things almost weekly.
JK2006 I think I'd like her but fascinating to find she is descended from the very first European woman to be born in New York - around 1600!
