JK2006 A feature on the many mental health victims of police murder. Why does this happen? Asks the "sitting in for ghastly Victoria" woman. There's a simple answer. Generally, usually, police don't care. They are generally not malicious. They don't intend to kill. They are just often incompetent and frequently numbed by tragedy. They deal with so much; are over worked and under paid. Their bosses - generally awful people; robotic, stupid, ambitious, greedy, experts at avoiding censure - the spawn of the May woman - don't care either. As a society, we are asking for trouble.
