It seemed fun at the time; I knew the US version - hugely popular there; they approached me. The reason the money is so great is that you shoot several shows each day - so probably one week gets done in one day; yet you're paid for each so, say; £10,000 a show is £70,000 a day - not bad even for thirty five years ago. A few months easy work on a game show earns you millions. "Come on down" as we used to say. And no, Andrew, I wasn't miserable at all. I wonder if anyone has a copy of the pilot? I bet Bill Stewart's estate finds one. |

Would you want to be associated with such a piece of crap tv, regardless of the money? You can't take it with you. It didn't do Leslie Crowther any good. |
