md I thought it was rare for convictions for sexual abuse to be overturned. I also thought it was unusual for evidence of abuse the pre-dates the alleged abuse accepted as testimony. Perhaps this only applies to care work where records exist and is recognized only in Scotland.

md In Scotland, a foster carer who has already served a full 3 year sentence has had his conviction quashed due to failures of his defence team to properly investigate and prepare evidence.
