Topic History of: Is the Iranian crisis being "manufactured" ?

In The Know (sometimes) Following the seizure of 15 British sailors in the Persian Gulf (allegedly in Iranian waters although the UK - they would, wouldn't they? - insist they were in Iraqi waters), I wonder whether a situation is being manufactured?

The BBC says the men were searching ships to look for cars, and Sky News says they were searching a dhow. How many cars can you hide in a dhow? (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhow for pictures of typical dhow).

As the Yankers have been building forces in the area (including warships) for several weeks now - are they manufacturing a situation so they have an excuse to retaliate?

(Well, they tried a dossier - but got caught out with that one !)
