Mart I had a "food post hell" day.

We came down for breakfast at the hotel in Cheshire in which we were staying, and waited an hour to get served by staff that had obviously not changed their watches.

We received no food whatsoever and on leaving the "restuarant", we removed all the yoghurts and croissants from the breakfast bar , walked up to the counter with them and I asked for my pre paid brekkie money back and asked them to arrest me for stealing food!

My fridge is now full of the food that we took, quite legitamately in my opinion and the staffs` opinion as well, and yes, I did get my money back.

I only took the plain yoghurts as fruit flavoured ones are impossible to cook with I might add.
(ok, I admit , I had a strawberry one for myself!)
JK2006 Bought some delicious M&S wild mushrooms in filo pastry - highly recommended and dead easy (30 mins in the 200 oven) - and just ate them.

The only down side - they burnt the roof of my mouth.

But lovely flavour, delicious sauce, great taste.

Had a couple of glasses of iced Chablis (2005) with it - very tasty but one more than I'm used to. So going to bed fractionally squiffy.

Oh and another Duchy Originals recommendation to follow - Lemon Souflee (cold) - very tasty.
