JK2006 Twitter is astonished that false accusers in trials where perverts were acquitted and liars thrown out STILL get compo; hey, open your eyes world; it's gone on for years especially if fat media fees are given to liars for enhanced stories.
Jo What a bonkers story.

"The alleged victim, who received £22,000 from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority...
...
Judge Thomas Crowther said an internal police investigation would be likely as it was revealed the accuser exchanged 1,000 texts, 530 emais and 118 telephone calls with Detective Constable Beverly Norman... "

An internal police investigation, eh? Wonder what that will involve, especially if they're expressing disappointment at the verdict. Wouldn't a judge or defence team be able to demand access to such communications?

Would love to know what communication went on between police and accusers in the Rolf Harris case (yes, that again). The accuser who claimed to have been molested at 7/8 in an autograph queue at a community centre in Portsmouth, who received £22,000 from Rolf Harris and whose accusations were overturned on appeal said "The police helped me but the court case was very stressful". His main accuser said "I would therefore encourage anyone who has suffered or is suffering any kind of abuse to come forward because you will be believed. Especially by the police and Crown Prosecution Service who bring perpetrators to justice." (source)

It seems to have become received wisdom since the Jimmy Savile furore that abuse/assault victims didn't used to be believed by police or kept silent because they didn't think police would believe them. I wonder how much truth there is in that.
JK2006 that there is nothing wrong with British Justice...
