Randall 65000 sounds like a lot, but there are around 11 million children in the UK. That means around 1 offence per 180 children.

If internet offences are included, and I assume they are, there might not be an offence against a UK child (or indeed an offence against a child elsewhere either) so it becomes even less likely. And then there are the "sting" offences against children who don't exist.
JK2006 We really have become a nation of Vile Perverts. Unless, of course, a combination of changing definitions, media publicity and deliberate or accidental inaccuracies might explain this.
