JK2006 Well I'll give it a chance as I do like Martin Shaw but for God's sake... it's 1964 and George Gently is a police officer... do you think someone sat down and said "Life On Mars is doing great - we must make another series linking nostalgia with cops..."

I really do wonder about the sanity of TV executives.
