I would say - read the article and decide. It reads very unbiased to me.

From a comment underneath the article:
"For the past four years Fisk has reported from Syria embedded with the regime. The regime herds him to the places it wants him to see and the people it wants him to interrogate—and Fisk appears to yield to the controlling arms of his handlers with the somnambulant innocence of a debutante. On more than a few occasions he has echoed the regime line without demur." pulsemedia.org/2016/12/03/robert-fisks-c...-against-journalism/ (Author: Idrees Ahmad - I am a Lecturer in Digital Journalism at the University of Stirling and a former research fellow at the University of Denver’s Center for Middle East Studies. etc.)

Quite apart from anything else - at last someone has reported FROM the bloody place. And his reporting is so fair; he refuses to agree or deny; just tells the facts; and well written. Deserves far more coverage.

As Hedda says - Fisk is enormously respected for daring to be honest.
