JK2006 Oh yes - we can only pray that the public, then the traditional media and then Judges and Politicians start realising the truth. NOT assuming all claiming abuse are lying; some will be speaking mostly the truth; a few, even, totally the truth.

But can this ever bring decent karma back to a society that sent a 101 year old to jail?

And help the thousands of ruined lives - especially wives, children, brothers, sisters, parents, friends - whose lives have been equally destroyed?
hedda regarding "recovered memories" about abuse which "ruined my life"..I think it was Times' correspondent David Aronovitch who said he is yet to met a Holocaust survivor (or indeed any other survivor of a terrible event- child or adult) who "repressed" memories of their ordeal.
Jo Wonder if the accusers had seen rumours online or were communicating with each other. I'm very sceptical about these groups of adults popping up at once late in the day and about someone in a profession that has been "popularised" through other accusations in the media as one allegedly occupied by abusers. It doesn't make sense that someone would need to see accusations against other sports coaches before deciding to report their own abusive sports coach. Getting the idea that accusing a sports coach might be a plausible way to make money, on the other hand...

I disagree.
Even though it seems highly unlikely that a rush of people would suddenly all remember being abused at the same time, shouldn't we assume innocence all round?
