Andy Not the most convincing defence, claiming you are not driving whilst drunk, you are driving whilst blind instead - surely that would be even more serious.
hedda the matter of anonymity is another real problem : in the high profile cases of the false accusations against Ted Heath and the infamous "Nick"..have police relied on the fact the anonymity of accusers means they think the media, defense counsel etc will be unable to establish that the false accuser has history?

A Royal Commission or Judicial Inquiry is needed into the whole abuse mess seeing so many false claims have now been revealed.

IICSA is spending millions looking into ancient abuse..I bet it spends not a minute on false allegations.
hedda 75 mph..where in Britain can one drive so fast these days?

The background of every accuser should be looked at by police now that easy money and anonymity is assured.

While even claimants with criminal convictions still deserve justice, if their previous history is taken into account during sentencing surely it should be examined when they make claims of criminal activity against others.
JK2006 enabled this charmer to kill someone.
