Universal approval it seems ITK. Not one newspaper agrees with you. Even the anti Royalists were impressed.
They know how to maintain the defference, JK (to get the free tickets and access !).
Wait till the next Royal scandal ... like the black and ginger baby ! |

I like Prince Charge because he speaks his mind and will not be a pushover. He will be a different kind of King, probably a bit like George third who also spoke his mind (even when not insane). He is more of a stickler for duty than some think, so there will not be too much of a change. He knows that one of the main strengths of this nation is the continuity which the Royal Family provides. Politicians come and go, and policies keep changing, but the Royal Family maintain strong links with the rest of the world beyond politics. I look forward to seeing Charles as King, when Her Majesty decides to vacate this reality ... which probably won't be until Philip does.
I still have an old 78 (rpm) of Dame Clara Butt singing God Save The King. It's bloomy awful but I'll drag it out from mothballs to mark the occasion. |

Constitutionally, albeit as vague as it is post-1688, the main public role of the Crown is to shut up, so I rather doubt old Charles, with the combination of his monumentally stupid views and his incredible arrogance, will prove a good mix at all as a monarch.
I think Vic that's right. His heart might be in the right place, but he needs to know when to shut up and get on with it. And no more spidery written memos. |
