A bucket of relics from Napoleonic era
Peter Fish
July 28, 2007

"AUCTIONEER Leonard Joel has taken the relatively unusual step of buying a full-page ad in the UK's Antiques Trade Gazette to advertise some prize items from its major art and antiques sale next week, August 6 and 7, in Melbourne.

Some might say the venerable firm is scraping the bucket, since the items include a brass telescope said to have been used by Admiral Lord Nelson on his flagship, the Victory, at the Battle of Trafalgar as well as a brass-bound elm bucket apparently used on the ship as well."
