JK2006 The blinding of Gloucester was incredibly well done; gruesome and horrifying but not too graphic. Broadbent brilliant naturally; ditto Ecclestone as Oswald (very out of type); Emma Thompson a fab Goneril. Loved the idea of changing the bleak heath to an immigrant camp. I'd forgotten "Every inch a King". You wouldn't believe how many great lines and phrases come from this play. Nothing will become of nothing.
JK2006 Well I thought it was terrific; Andrew Scott as Edgar the standout (the most difficult part); but everyone great and fabulous filming. For me the greatest play ever by the greatest writer.
