Do you think journalists are getting softer or lazier?

Oh dear.

so similar to an ABC interviewer here who had Dan Davies on his program to question him about his Jimmy Savile book.
I emailed him and said he must ask why Davies said Savile, after he died. had "a heart of gold" along with other gushing praise.
The interviewer was actually insulted that I should suggest this and thus..gave Davies a 20 minute advert for his book without a single hard question as to why a man who claimed he knew Jimmy Savile better than anyone in the UK and heaped glory upon him after death, suddenly decided he knew all about his abuse once the scandal took off.

Rose McGowan has been interviewed on Newsnight, gently and sympathetically by Kirsty Wark.
No awkward questions, e.g. about why she originally told her agent that she stripped off and got into a hot tub with Harvey Weinstein but did not mention rape (source) and is now (with a book to sell) claiming that he stripped her and raped her ([url=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5326257/Rose-McGowan-Harvey-Weinstein-forced-oral-sex-masturbated.html]source[url]).
