The You Tube kid - how depressing. No discernible talent, but because he's posting videos of himself every week he's considered 'a star'. I was chatting to a publisher friend the other day. She was telling me that they're mainly signing up reality stars and vloggers for books these days. 'Of course, they all need ghost writers'. So I said, 'You, a publisher, are mainly commissioning people who can't write books?' She said, 'Yeah, but they've got loads of followers!' It's not exactly progress, is it?
I think it must take a huge amount of talent to succeed on Youtube.
I trust you're being ironic. |

Graeme Swan also looks like he might be good fun and has much more personality than most sports people.
I think the phrase 'he's a bit full of himself' was made for Graeme Swann. I just hope he doesn't try any of his 'comic' impressions like he does on TMS. His 'West Indian' accent is enough to make Jim Davidson wince.
I agree it's a big mistake not to have included a no-hoper type like Widdicombe. The producers don't seem to realise how close the show often teeters towards smugness and tweeness, especially now that they appear to believe that Winkleman is a comedian of Chaplin-like genius. The sense of chaos and surprise that someone like John Sergeant or Ed Balls created was invaluable. |

I only knew 2 from the 14 person line up...
This may say more about me than the show but I'm not sure...
I dont really like dancing but my partner always watches so I look forward to the "joke" entrant for entertainment.
Not sure there is one this year, so may have to read through this season while the cliches play out.... |
