Ki Outside of the publishing world, I think you're probably the only person who gives a damn about the Booker awards. The publishing world is made up of people even more vacuous than the music industry these days - no one cares.
JK2006 Due Thursday. I was quite expecting to have to read them all in prison (which I did in 2001, 2, 3 and 4) where you do at least have lots of time - every year takes me up to date on modern fiction. Last year was awful, though, worst in ages. Off I go to John Sandoe (I always try to buy them from an independent retailer).
