I was astonished, nay flabbergasted with the Chief Constable's dismissal of the dodgy search warrant.
This has to be a matter for formal complaint but when 'o' when will Britain's legal fraternity rise up as one and say "it's gone too far..the public no longer respect the police and soon it will be lawyers & judges they hate"?
Of course in the USA little matters like wrongly worded search warrants or evidence seized without warrants etc can get thrown out immediately and demolish a case.

In Operation Ravine, Chief Constable Ephgrave, through his legal representative, openly condoned his officers lying on oath to Judges.
Police all over the UK admit that their chiefs regard Judges and Courts as hurdles to be overcome in their quests for convictions. They don't want Truth. They don't want Justice. They want increased budgets, media approval and promotion for top officers.
That is why debacles like the Oliver Mears rape case collapse. Just ask Guildford Crown Court Judge Jonathan Black.
And the Liam Allan case. Simply Google and goggle.
When police admit to officers breaking the law without thinking, society is in deep trouble. |
