wyot Not a zero sum argument Barney...I too find tigers soul wrenchingly beautiful and the dynasties programme was wonderful in terms of footage and their family story..

Spoke to a homeless chap outside Victoria Station this morning; he had slept there and hadn't eaten since Saturday.

Dishevelled, barely coherent, and dirty - I believed him.

On the way home this evening, the chap was still on his spot.

Seemed in better fettle - perhaps after some vodka or whatever.

London's huge homeless problem is on the back burner.

By far, the highest numbers in Britain.

17 London Boroughs are in the top 20.

And there are several soup kitchen/food banks within a few hundred yards of the Palace of Westminster.

Yes animals are cute, and important too...

I am glad you took the time to speak to him, Barney.
Sometimes just acknowledging someone is a great help.
But we can care for and help more than one type of animal or person at the same time.

Funnily enough I'm not a cat person at all (we tolerate each other); I'm totally a dog person (adore them) but I simply love the look of tigers. Stunning, beautiful creatures.

I am the same, actually. I love my own cats fiercely, though not that bothered in general, but I love all dogs and cant imagine being without one.
