Green Man Let's have a referendum on hangings. I bet there be a huge majority.
Barney That will (to bring back hanging) was expressed in a ballot, vote or referendum?

Because that's the method - by which the electorate (in using that very mechanism) - has decided major issues be decided.

Alternatives include - dictatorship, anarchy, military rule, tribalism, facism etc.

JK2006 No - for years the public wanted to bring back hanging and MPs refused.
Barney And just ignore the wishes of the majority - that'd be a first then?

JK2006 I'm sorry but much as I like Corbyn we need someone to stand up and say "Brexit is abandoned".
