In The Know Further to the above ....

CNN have now updated their news report and removed the reference to GlobalSecurity.org

Here it is - www.globalsecurity.org/security/profiles...al-hadi_al-iraqi.htm
In The Know The main news leads on the "capture" of a leading A-Q operative, but the actual news is a little "fuzzy" and "unclear".

When was he captured? No one seems to be saying beyond a vague "hint" that it was last year (and presumably held in one of those non-existent secret prison camps in Eastern Europe?)

I wonder WHY this information has been released now? Could it have anything to do with the slumping support for Bush in the USA (where BOTH Houses this week passes laws demanding the withdrawal of US troops?)

We are told (source BBC News) - He was heading to Iraq to take over al-Qaeda operations and plot attacks against Western interests, the US said.

Dig a little deeper and you start to get near to the truth. CNN (quoting GlobalSecurity.org) says he was captued in 2002 ! http://edition.cnn.com/2007/US/04/27/al.qaeda.gitmo/index.html

... long before the illegal invasion and long before any fight by the freedom fighters to rid Iraq of the Yanks !
