JK2006 Matthew has a great future ahead of him and how terrific he broke down in tears - a genuine man and huge talent; but his dish was a sad let down after being brilliant all series. And Laurence, who really couldn't cope in big kitchens (and needed Matthew to help him through) had flashes of true genius and deserved to win. What a great series.
JK2006 Well done Laurence - the flakiest but clearly the most incredibly inventive.
JK2006 Hmmm I feel a 2019 return visit to Valence. And don't worry about Brexit; I intend to ignore it whether it happens or not. The only problem will be the total collapse of sterling (almost certain). Fortunately many of my hits and copyrights were global successes (you should see the PRS royalties that have come from global plays of Everyone's Gone To The Moon this summer; those news channels do pay premium prices).
JK2006 Two great things from the area; beautiful honey (lavender) and lovely Rhone wines.
JK2006 I get an e-m from Anne-Sophie Pic every week and have had two fabulous meals at her three star restaurant. Her food is fantastic and I love Valence anyway; long drive though, but worth it.
