Enormous building; impressive Council Chamber; but oddly no canteen (staff and visitors have to go outside in the rain to a portable stall selling coffee in Styrofoam cups). The Police and Crime Panel (PCP) which is the ultimate boss of the Police and Crime Commissioner say they have no power to force him to resign or even suggest to Munro that he should do so. The PCC's main job (they were set up by then Home Secretary May - so you can understand why they are disastrous - see Cleveland and Mike Veale) is to appoint and oversee the Chief Constable but Munro refused to investigate him over my complaints that his officers lied on oath to magistrates to get search warrants and, far worse, failed to obey Due Process regarding Deaths In Custody. Then my trials collapsed and Munro issued a mealy mouthed apology (having refused to do so when the PCP suggested he should do so and reprimanded him - Google Munro Reprimand - last year). I refused to accept the apology and told CC Ephgrave to quit (he has) and Munro to do the same (he hasn't - yet).
My current complaint is that this man should not be allowed to select and appoint the NEW Chief Constable of Surrey. Especially after the ITV Manhunt series, Surrey Residents are starting to see the institutionalised incompetence and corruption in the Surrey Force (and their failure to find Levi Bellfield, allowing him to kill other innocent young girls after Milly Dowler... their failure to stop Breck Bednar having his throat cut... their failure to stop the three Deepcut killings after Sean Benton... and the Deaths In Custody of Laurence Pollinger in 2015, Rob Randall in 2016 and Deniz Corday in 2017).
Munro did not regard Ephgrave as being directly responsible for the actions of his officers and therefore refused to investigate.
If he is allowed to stay in his job, how many more Surrey Residents will die?
