Silent Minority I always thought of bread sauce as a thick, lumpy, dolloppy thing that sat on the side of the plate....you make it as a pour over sauce....now that explains why I never made your recipe work Doctor King....
JK2006 Those intrigued by my Bread Sauce, known throughout the culinary universe as the best in the world, may want my recipe.

Olive oil; turn an onion, chopped, into gold, then add a slice of white bread, preferably slightly stale, crumbled up, and some milk. Stir and add four cloves and a Knorr chicken stock cube. One crushed garlic bud. Allow to simmer for five minutes, constantly stirring; add salt and pepper to taste; a knob of butter; a tablespoon of cream; another five minutes (keep stirring) and you have the best bread sauce in the world.
