Barney Some months ago, the Irish were openly laughing at the UK decision to leave the EU - saying it was economic suicide for the UK: And that we we would regret it.

Now they seem to have realised that - for instance - the majority of their tourists are from here. In addition, over 50% of their biggest exports (beef and dairy produce) are sold to us.

Even though they'll probably remain in the EU - the economic consequences for that very closely aligned country, to ours, could well be much worse than our fate.

Ironically, the Republic of Ireland had no say whatsoever in the Brexit process and decision - but, some economic experts are suggesting, could prove to be the biggest casualty of all.

Whatever club you join - your nearest and biggest friend should be cherished. The Irish political stance in the media today though - seems to show some disquiet and anger about our journey and decisions.

Actually, these are none of their business...

yes of course they want those British tourists.

But in reality it will be queues.

Long queues as they are at every Immigration desk around the world who also love their tourists.

Reality is always something else.

Mind you JK should feel privileged to be compared to hedda. Not a an accolade many receive but those who do richly deserve it.

Until recently I kept an apartment in Spain, have lived their on numerous occasions....which means I fly to both Portugal and Spain on a regular basis....there are already long queues at most airports at busy times....either nothing of note will change...or they will actually panic, and things could actually improve!...But I doubt they will get any worse than now..

....funny enough I met two friends at Terminal 4 Heathrow the other week, coming from Saudi Arabia on an early flight....The one with the Canadian passport was out quicker than the one with the British passport...

I apologise for my failing eyesight Doctor King.....I will practice my grammar while waiting in those long passport lines that you just invented.

A good day to you Sir....once again.
