I haven't seen Birdcage but love Priscilla. Such an up-beat and funny film and all the actors are fantastic in it, especially Guy Pierce.
Silent Minority
And Gays just wanna have fun
Oh gays just want to have fun
The best fun...and the best at bitching...I always enjoyed the gay clubs when I lived in the north.
Hope you're having a great time Hedda....I may join you in a couple of weeks as I'm out your way....

...is on right now in Sydney and as I'm at a pal's place nearby for dinner I can hear the hoots. bells & whistles.
I've been to several but they are hard work..sometimes a million people line the route and oddly, half of them seem to be Asian. Why so? Do they like a parade more than others?
Any way we were hurrying dinner so we could watch 2 films on TV ..Birdcage with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane (loved the original as well) followed by Priscilla Queen of The Desert.
I had a little video business with Stephen Elliot before he finally got to make Priscilla and made real money. I like it .
I love Birdcage though & haven't seen it for years but..but 2 dinner guests, both gay object to it vehemently and say it portrays Gays as effeminate etc etc and re-enforces the public's false images.
I can't understand this. I've met so many raving mincers in my lifetime and loved them !!! Usually always good fun. As opposed to bloody Clones !!!
