Wow! I didn't intend to reply to anything on here but your self-righteousness is truly jaw-dropping. So the people's "advice" was "flawed"? Why even give a ref if 1 of the only 2 possible options is a "flawed" possibility?
And please tell us about all these other govts who have sought their citizens advice in a referendum and then simply ignored it.. If it happens "all the time" I guess it must be a very long list you have.. and I trust that once the govts had pointed out how "flawed" their citizens "advice" was and ignored it everything returned to normal did it?

Nice! Indeed a large group of even millions CAN be dumb fuckwits who just take whatever they're spoonfed to be unassailable truth, despite having been lied to previously by the very same people they're now trusting - Remember the "instant recession" and need for an "emergency budget" etc falsehoods if we voted for Brexit? No, I suspect you feel its essential to ignore & forget any & all such inconvenient points otherwise it will produce too much "cognitive dissonance" for you and your crown of self-righteousness might fall off.

Indeed. What is the point of talking about any "project fear" campaign to someone who has clearly fallen victim to every single daily scare story it contains and is therefore petrified the sky will fall in if we actually leave the doomed EU project & will run away from anybody who says anything at all to the contrary?
Personally I listen to actually both sides of the debate and so KNOW that neither option is "sunshine & rainbows", BOTH sides have told lies & falsehoods, and I don't believe the media-fuelled nonsense that we suddenly have a mass movement of 17 million racists roaming our streets. I'd ask that you do the same & try listening to BOTH sides of this debate... but I know I'd be completely wasting my breath.
So regretfully I'll have to fully agree with the qualified Political Scientist below... "your very limited understanding of politics is making you look a fool...I take no comfort in having to point this out"... but you will no doubt take comfort that there are plenty of "dumb fuckwits" who 100% share your proven(not!) myths about Brexit. |

Project Fear?
really..the worst Project Fear was the Brexit mob with all those "foreigners" who were awaiting to invade Britain.
## if you think racism wasn't the biggest Project Fear used by Brexit then you are lying to yourselves.
This is important:
Brexiters are a'moaning and a'groaning about endless referendums with idiotic claims like "and what of no-one likes that result..do we have another one and keep having them etc etc yadda yadda"
Horribly this is promoted by Mainstream Hacks who should know better and perhaps in a previous life worked in the USSR on Stalinist Revisionism...here is WHAT TO DO AND IT'S SIMPLE...
The referendum was ADVISORY ... governments seek advice all the time and do not have to accept that advice if it's flawed)..and especially if criminal acts were conducted on compiling that advice (not one frigging Brexiter will mention the crimes that took place)
Another referendum can be COMPULSORY and put the matter to rest for all time.
Jesus Christ why do the most simple of solutions need to be pointed out??

Hedda....please take some time,and try to understand how politics works...
All elections could be called into doubt under your claims...the electorate are not the idiots you make them out to be...I'm a qualified Political Scientist...and in my professional opinion you and Doctor King make less sense on political matters than the average man or woman on the street....
....your very limited understanding of politics is making you look a fool...I take no comfort in having to point this out....
Brexit came about because the political classes lost track of the reality on the street...but then again when was the last time you,or Doctor King needed the services of a GP's surgery in a working class area?...or used a school in the same area?...David Cameron was aware...Tony Blair and his like despise poor white people...and Nick Clegg dissolved into a Facebook bubble after being caught out lying on one too many occasion..
...we've had a Referendum...we then had a General Election in which over 80% of the electorate backed parties supporting a full Brexit....shall we keep on voting till we get it right Doctor King?....But of course why should we have a vote just because the very people who objected to us voting in the first place want a second chance?....Especially as many of those in parliament who want it have made it impossible for us to get a good deal from the EU...by saying they will block a 'No deal' scenario....so the EU knew they could dictate bad terms...and enough fools in Parliament would mean we could never agree a sensible deal.....
...we voted to leave,a deal was not part of that plan,a bonus if good,but not a reason to cancel Brexit if not. |

Yes I simply do not understand those against a second referendum; Leavers can confirm and we can then go ahead with May's deal or Remainers can rally and scrap the whole thing which was, in my opinion, a ghastly mistake which should never have been put to a referendum. |
