Barney Just opened, and magnificent by any standards. Arguably the finest stadium on earth.

With a retractable pitch (first ever) - whereby the football/grass playing surface disappears - to be replaced by a synthetic one.

The synthetic version is to allow for American football games, rock concerts, whatever.

By highly sophisticated technology, the conversion from a football ground to an event centre can happen in less than 30 mins.

Longest bar in Europe, great hygiene standards and smiling welcome professionals helping everyone on on their way.

With the exception of Dallas, where transport options are disappointing (as they're here), this new venue provides graphic evidence of the importance of sport.

Amongst all humans; who hasn't heard of Messi!

In the Spurs project - what is very surprising is that The Boxer (Joe Lewis), who owns everything, Spurs/stadium etc. - is rarely mentioned or visable.

Very little is known Lewis - like an increasing number of football club owners - but his investment seems genuine; he is, after all, a cockney.

Why though the whitewash...
