Utter fucking bollocks.

Why is this nonsense allowed in evidence at all? Why the hell did the jury swallow it?

Very confusing report indeed which could in fact equal very confusing circumstances in reality!

"However, fresh DNA testing on a sample taken from the woman’s vagina detected two male profiles."

"Mr Richardson’s lawyers had claimed that the detection of his DNA was due to a 'secondary transfer' and that his DNA had been transferred via ordinary contact or touch."

Sample taken from a place highly unlikely re secondary transfers unless sample taking and lab very sloppy indeed. (Ideally sample should be sent to two difference labs)

But I can only guess all these people in the flat drinking etc that as always more to the story. Old fashion that I am can not help but think in many of these particular cases for both the guys and girls - sharing time together at close quarters lots of drink and so on can lead to all sorts of things including misunderstandings, wanted / later not wanted sex. And for guys especially in these crazy times where it is all consent and believe the woman only approach (how does one know really in these cases except the recent french police station case where the woman complained immediately and DNA samples were taken including a third guy, mysteriously who could not be identified. A good example where immediate reporting is a must!!!). Of course the idea of women seducing men is no longer mentioned unless in those extremely rare cases where the woman is identified as a liar and money grabbed.

So I can only guess the circumstances were not "clear cut" and all involved were not been circumspect.
Sheba Bear Even the Telegraph can't get it right. She's an Australian backpacker in the heading and an American backpacker in the first paragraph.
