An update, the sight of a veteran in his 80s being assaulted by a young remainer thug has had quite an interesting effect...
A fund-raiser has already raised nearly £15,000...and he now has a couple of bodyguards.... ...let's see how tough these cowards who pick on an old man are now?

excellent Silent Majority..and the paras got there within the hour in matching t-shirts in the correct poltical colour. Nice.
Claims they were waiting around the corner for a call are just wicked.
Although sadly the alleged "nearly £15,000" vanished in the ether after one donation of over £10,000 was withdrawn and now it seems that GoFundMe page has vanished.
Two others have popped up ..one for £500 which has raised nothing and one for £300 which has raised £170 to date..enough for a new suit for our intrepid Vet at Oxfam but alas..nit that World Cruise promised by Guido Fawkes
This story gets better all the time. |

I don't think SM can tell the difference Honey.
Using the wrong pronoun is an arrestable offence in some states.
The weather is fine in Eire, but I do prefer the wet weather it's better for hunting.
Off to America again from Monday, to see the family.
Maybe we can substitute throwing milkshakes at the game when hunting?....A sort of Vegan hunt
Quite hot here on the south coast today...but like yourself I'm off to Thailand next week...I may actually do some work....safe trip.
What's on your menu tonight SM ?
Had a great conversation on the phone about caged and trophy hunting. Basically we agreed it's for rich cowards - hunting is for food.
Yes,hunting for food is right and good,I rarely get to do any now...and with my eyesight I'd worry about those around me more than any wild game.
Hunting is so much easier abroad...back in 2004,on my way to my first Iraq I was in Batman,Turkey...at the time a hotbed of the PKK...I went out for a barbecue with some local Kurds...nicest people I ever met...after somehow cooking and eating a kilo of mixed meats each the shotguns came out!....yes in the middle of a civil war...and just round the corner from the newly messed up Iraq...turned up they were not worried about shotguns that fired pellets....enough of the nasty types of military hardware about to worry about hunting for the locals.
I had soup and a garlic flatbread...,rather sad actually...
