Clair Fox is a politician. You miss the whole point and nitpicking doesn't change things.
She is part of the ghastly Spiked mob who once posed as "Marxists". She started some off-shoot Communist Party and supported IRA murders (I heard 3 IRA bombs go off during my time in London in which several people were blown apart.)
We now know Spiked and Fox's real agendas.
It's been claimed in the USA that the once reasonable Libertarian movement which had reasonable ideals..such as less involvement of government in citizen's lives, had been taken over and secretly funded by extreme far right-wing US billionaires determined to use the movement to promote their "small government" ideals and strangle things like Universal Healthcare (NHS) and other such real "socialist" type notions that are far more popular with the mass of Americans
The biggest & most comprehensive ever survey in the USA, organised by Noam Chomsky was done by 12 Universities combining to do it..who sent out 1000s of young volunteers to poll 100,000s of Americans in small town etc..which found that over 60% of Americans do want European style "socialism".
This should have been fairly obvious as the USA has actually had more elements of "socialism" than the UK and Europe for decades..such as generous dole payments (state & Federal) and so on..but the big one they didn't have was universal health care.
However Reaganomics and Thatcherism were the 2 movements that began the dismantling of FDR's 1930's "New Deal" that had catapulted the USA via socialist enterprises into a country of incredible booming wealth and a burgeoning Middle Class.
Well now we know that's true about Spiked now funded (it was like extracting teeth to get that info) after they admitted they are funded by 2 of the USA's moist repressive and extreme right-wing and the richest Billionaires, the Koch Bros who make Rupert Murdoch look like an amateur.
The Koch Bros are behind the ghastly Donald Trump who brilliantly succeeds in drowning debate by calling people "snowflakes" etc and thus gets away with telling Americans he'll give them bigger & better and cheaper Healthcare than "Obamacare" and then sets about doing the opposite and for the first time in US history...millions of people who believed him, applaud him for doing so? Weird or what.... but the "snowflake" intended insult is indicative of the entire movement which are the real reasons for a Trump & Brexit ...successfully drown anything that remotely looks like socialism such as the NHS etc.
So Claire Fox, the alleged former Marxist and alleged former Communist who now joins a party that wished to drown entities like the NHS in a bucket (as Farage has repeatedly claimed) uses terms like "snowflake" as a deliberate put-down to stifle debate. And it works. Just like using terms like "traitor" or "patriot".
Fox is just a very tiny cog in the force that has opened the Pandora's Box of Nationalism now seen in dozens of well funded far-right Neo Nazi movements sweeping Europe & the UK.
Spiked & the ghastly Brendan O'Neill including Claire Fox have already revealed themselves for what they are. Extreme Stalinist's willing to be used by the well funded far -right.
O'Neill personally is funded by not just the Koch Bros but billionaires Rupert Murdoch & Gina Rinehart.
Unfortunately they post some positive articles about false allegations but it's all drowned out by their faux "Libertarian" pose and you only have to read the 100s of comments that sing along like a chorus line and accuse those who do not agree with their Stalinist (doubtful they were ever real Marxists)would be pathetic insults like "snowflakes"..yet again another of those deliberate type of putdowns that are divisive and typical of a large sector now unleashed in the USA & GB of people who seem to think they know all the answers and will not brook the slightest questioning or request that they provide some answers.
Fox has transmuted into the main stream..time will tell how effective she is.
So while Spiked occasionally..very occasionally posts some positive articles by smart people like Barbara Hewson who hasn't said a wrong word yet..they have absolutely nil effect.
They may even bolster the opposite views..a person like Hewson (and Spiked) probably re-enforces the belief that there is some organized ring of pedos running the country because she just isn't the right person to fight the fight. She's abrasive and makes throwaway comments about lowering the age of consent at a time when one statement like that can completely destroy all her correct claims.
There is nothing to be won by having the right ideas but turning people off

But this is terrible talk because she is lying. She is trying to imply that everyone in Britain wants to leave. No they don't. Not that I know the solution (it wasn't even a compulsory referendum..just advisory. You aren't compelled to follow advice)
But the real problem here is that the hardcore Brexit Mob have created divisions in Britain that have never been seen before. I doubt this can be healed.
The fanaticism of the hardcore Brexiters, whether you are Brexit or Remain has created a gulf that I think will grow and grow.

I think it is really unfair for us to terrify children by repeated warnings of probable abuse, not let them out in case they fall out of trees or climb drainpipes, bark about safety non stop, and then call them snowflakes when they become exactly what we wanted.

I quite like Ken Clarke...made an economic fool of himself over the ERM,and his support for the Euro currency....but besides that love the way he'd turn up dishevelled,shirt out from his podgy waist,tie all over the place,a real character...like yourself of course....but not gorgeous....but he did like a crafty ciggie...or two.....
...always found him pleasant,and willing to talk to nobodies like myself when he came to constituency events....waisted(pun intended) really in this age of personality politics....he'd have been at his peak in the High Victorian era....reminds me of Austin Chamberlain....or did I mean Austin Healey?
