Barney Why on earth should we expect to watch live sport of this calibre (from different sides of the world) - for free?!

Hope you enjoyed it all....certainly a good season for British teams...few friends went out to Baku...add in Spain...and yes, would be nice to get these things free...I remember when football was a working class game...oh well....you ignore your roots at your peril...just ask Mr Corbyn

Enjoy your day Robbie...you've been posting on here for a long time....we really should try to get back some of the fun spirit we had on here ten plus years ago...
Barney Bewildering? If these clowns are given what they want - attention and publicity - more of them will emerge.

Making a schoolboy error in the first minute - an unnecessary handball giving a penalty away - was unforgivable.

BT coverage was excellent; free to air is an anachronism in these days of global/satellite coverage.

And the serious money available for a game watched by hundreds of millions, in virtually every country on earth.

robbiex This deserves a thread of its own as most people are ignoring the Sport Today thread.

Well Liverpool get off to a good start with a penalty after 2 minutes, however the highlight so far is a female streaker who they quickly panned away from. Why the cameras now move away from streakers is bewildering to me, most people find them entertaining. The streaming from youtube is pretty bad, lots of shadows (ala don't blame it on the boogie video). This should be on free to air tv, what every happened to the crown jewels of sport.
