Topic History of: Jo Brand.

In person I found Ben Elton very nice and I think he's an excellent writer - Upstart Crow one of the best series ever. I love Jo Brand as a comic too. And I'm a huge Peter Kay fan. |

On a State Visit he interferes directly in British political matters by announcing who should be PM and you would have to be and to not think that 100,000 Tories voting for the new PM (so much for democracy) did not take note.
Now you have Nigel Farage announcing he will be leading trade talks with Trump and I guarantee Trump will meet with Farge and his mates and beat up the whole thing.
Meanwhile Vladimir Putin sits back and rubs his hands and sips on fine Vodka as he watches a united Europe struggle to remain united and slowly a New World Order emerges.
Perhaps it was always meant io be..China and Russia's time to shine. Problem is Russia is controleld by gangsters.
Neither joke bothered me, but if I was forced to choose someone to sack I would give the at a stretch vague possibility of someone being injured with battery acid a higher priority than somebody's hurt feelings.
I cant help feeling that the difference in reaction is because Jo Brand is very lovely and Danny Baker much less so.
Personally I can't stand up comedians, I'm still waiting for a stand up comedian to actually make me laugh still.
I do like Jo Brand, and Peter Kay. I thought everybody liked Peter Kay? Oh, and Ben Elton when he used to do it, so not many stand ups for me either. |
