Don't you hate these coffee morning things where everyone has to bring food, and you end up with a plate of mismatched bits such as crustless quiche (its the crust I WANT) and microwaved crisps (dont bother) and you dont want to eat anything in case "Dirty-Nail-Delia" has had her hands on it?
in a lifelong career of ligging, if there was Champagne and Smoked Salmon on offer I was more than happy to grace your establishment.
these days..a sausage and a can of beer will suffice. Bloody cutbacks everywhere. |

In fact - charity coffee mornings (as you were, I now see, humorously commenting on) seem to be a great idea.
Getting neighbours, community and friends to come to a social gathering at your home - with a most worthy aim and goal.
Raising funds for those unable to do so, in their last days. Whilst getting others involved - who might well organise a similar event elsewhere.
