Jo I agree. She gives an impression of honesty and decency.

Regarding her achievements, there's this from the BBC article:

"Under Ms Davidson, the Scottish Conservatives more than doubled their number of seats at Holyrood in the 2016 election - making the party the second biggest behind the SNP. The following year it increased its MPs from one to 13 in the general election."

This seems a particularly apt comment from under the article.

"691. I think its very sad and reflective of how toxic the UK in that a universally admired progressive liberal young Tory talent is forced out of politics while creatures like Anne Widdicome squirm in from the other door.

Nations get the politicians they deserve and when the Johnsons and Rees-Moggs become new political 'dynasties' - you kind of know you've reached rock bottom! "

Maybe she'll be back once her son goes to school.
Barney Agree about RD - although it's rather difficult to pinpoint what the lady has achieved.

Honest, articulate and open, yes. But what real difference has she made.

Effectiveness is the bar for politicians. RD hasn't jumped over many.

Timing though might be a strength - deserting her leader at the most critical time in recent history.

Could there have ever been a better time to talk - considering the importanct document the Queen had signed a few miles north?

JK2006 A decent politician with integrity.
