Rick One of the most moronic trends has been for people to keep demanding re-runs when they don't like the result. That's a pretty damning sign of political stupidity. There was one spoilt twit on 5 Live demanding yet again another referendum 'because I just wasn't old enough for the last one and I'm angry about that'. So what happens if your wish is granted, oh cretinous one, and someone who just wasn't old enough for that one demands another one, and so on and so on? In a way such dolts deserve a Nietzschean eternal return but the sane people don't. And by the way constitutionally referenda CANNOT be binding - the only way to make the result de facto binding is to spell that out in the legislation for the referendum. And that wasn't spelled out in the EU referendum. What great minds failed to spot that? Bercow and all of his self-righteous mates who belatedly decided they were guardians of proper procedure. A lesson to be learned from all of this? Educate people how to think about politics in a rigorous and dispassionate way. Oh yes, and for god's sake grow up.

I think it's far more simple than that; if Labour and LibDems had formed an official anti-Brexit coalition, not standing in seats the other party could destroy the Tories, we'd now be seeing PM Corbyn.

That proposal shows a complete lack of understanding of politics and the realities of trying to get agreement between two large beautocratic organisations in a couple of days/weeks after an election was called. Most politicians have egos, baggage and agendas that could never be reconciled by such a coalition and the fall out be vast.

Fuck the EU. The real disaster would be remaining in the EU and being governed and dictated to by Brussells.

Good riddance to commie Corbyn and stupid Swinson.

I mean this in a caring and sharing way and with the greatest possible respect but you are a fuckwit Carl.

Also obviously completely ignorant about Communism.

Corbyn / Labour policies were how Britain operated 40 fucking years ago you pillock (that's a term of endearment Carl ).

Under both Tory & Labour governments.

Both Tory and Labour built massive social housing (Maggie did as well)..the trains were run by the government, were cheap and went EVERYWHERE.

The very rich paid a far greater share of their income in tax than Corbyn planned.(didn't they JK!) and although "tax exiles" were common (half my friends) they still became very very rich.

## It's why I love Graham Norton so much quite apart from his loveable personality- he pays full tax and said he is happy to as he said if everyone did the UK would be a much nicer country.

It's why it helps to be very old (going on 89 but looking at most 49) as we know how it used to be .

Blue Boy The election was won and lost on one simple factor – TRUST, or more precisely lack of trust.

It is amazing to consider that in such a contest Boris Johnson would be the winner given his track record but out of all the election promises “Get Brexit Done” was the one that was both believable and ultimately believed. With majority win achieved it will actually be delivered albeit maybe in a longer time frame that suggested.

I believe Swinton and Corbyn are probably decent honourable people but for this campaign they followed the modern political advice of deny everything that could be considered a negative and over promise. The double standards and hypocrisy that was spouted by those two individual and their election team when in front of a TV camera was so blatant it was laughable.
