Indeed but the financial institutions may regret it as it seems every day in Oz ( and probably everywhere) someone is busted (usually from China) with a suitcase full of fake credit and debit cards.
## my nephew has worked in a commercial debt collection agency for years. He tells me the amount of credit card fraud has always been 100 times bigger than they say. Seems profits are so good it can cover fraud.
### Now the honors list has published recipients addresses how many Filipinos will turn up in Harrods flourishing cards in the name of Sir Olivia Newton John or Dame Iain Duncan Smith ? |

Led by Scandinavian countries, cashless transactions are growing fast throughout the world - not only on the internet.
For example, many EU countries no longer accept cash on their public transport systems. Credit and debit cards are needed.
In Sweden - where less than 15% of retail transactions are in cash - the excellent Swish system is very efficient, virtually eradicating fraud.
Travelling anywhere without a card is now unwise, but more secure.
And in a short period, they'll be mandatory - with the card even operational, currently, via your phone or watch.
Contactless, cashless, tap-on/tap-off - with no PIN required for transactions up to c£30 - is the future.
